Packed!

It’s officialy my last day in Belgium. And I won’t be coming back soon (if all goes well :P)… Still don’t realize it, so I remain pretty calm. But I’m sure I’ll have a nervous breakdown once we reach the shores of the UK.

Keep an eye on our blog. Once we settle in we’ll flood you with pictures!

Time to pack!

We’re not moving everything yet, just some basic things I need to survive the first couple of weeks. So, a laptop, a PS3, a 360 and a TV should do just fine?

Fun fact…

It’s funny how Prince of Persia’s female compagnion goes by the name of Elika.

I’ve heard people mispronounce Elke like that before :P

E3!

How could I have missed this? Oh wait, I was busy quitting my job and the country :P

I’m still catching up on the news I have missed, but I thought I’d give you a list of my favorite trailers up until now:

fl0wer
By the people who brought us fl0w, which was a great game to play when drunk/sleepy. Beautiful!

Mirror’s Edge
Dice, the genius team behind the Battlefield series, are bringing a revolution to the FPS genre. Sure to make lots of people puke while playing!
» Trailer

Resident Evil 5
A less controversial trailer this time, although I heard no one complaining when we were just mowing down Eastern Europeans! :P
» Trailer

Final Fantasy XIII
I still have to find time to finish number 12, but who cannot be excited for a new title in one of the best RPG series out there…
» Trailer

Fallout 3
I know nothing about the series, but the trailer stuck with me. Although the in-game footage could use a little polish, this has certainly sparked my interest!

Prince of Persia
I loved the Sands of Time. 9 hours of intense and beautiful gameplay, just the right size. Then I tried PoP 2, got bored, forgot about 3 and now I couldn’t care less. Until this trailer and the dev walk-throughs… I soo want!

20Mb Broadband. Finally!

I thought we’d really be without Intarwebz when arriving at our new destination… But Virgin Media saved the day! 20Mb broadband, unlimited data transfer, 30 GBP / month. I am NOT complaining!

(Yes, Internet providers screw us over big time in ol’ Belgium)

Hmm

My first day without my silly Walloon colleagues. That up there is my old team leader Fred. Holding an umbrella. In the office… Probably reminding me of the great weather in England!

A busy day ahead, moving out of the country is more of a hassle than it should be! E3 is happening as well it seems. The unread news count in my feed reader is reaching silly numbers and I can’t find the time to read them!

Just another picture of our little Pepé :D

Last day at Arinso!

Or NorthgateArinso… Whatever the name is nowadays!

Yes, for those uninformed, after 4.5 years developing HR software in good ol’ Anderlecht, it is time to move on! And although I had some great times with and will really miss Denis, Fred, Olivier and the rest of the crazy gang, I must admit I’m quite happy and excited about where we’re heading now.

If you know, good for you (and I guess most of you do). If you don’t, keep an eye on the blog! :P

Pepé!

Meet the new member of the family, Pepé!

Named after the Looney Tunes character Pepé Le Pew. Because of the way she looks. Not the smell ;)
