I’ve been blogging for 9 years now (if you ignore the big inactive gaps anyway). Back in the days, when blogging was new and unique and when all these tools like Blogger, Tumblr and Wordpress weren’t available, 5DollarShake.com would run my own home-made PHP/MySQL blogging system. It would even allow visitors to comment on a  “graffiti wall” which would end up getting DOS-attacked by someone and stolen by another. Good times …

This blog has a long history. But I think it’s time to move on. Twitter and Facebook have been perfect for most of my mini-blogging. But I still feel like I should have something more “substantial”. This Wordpress blog however is a bit of an overkill for the simple things I need and require too much maintenance for a busy and “old” man like myself ;) Therefore I’m giving Tumblr another go.
