Xenosaga Episode I (ps2)
This game has interested me for a few years now (it dates from 2001), and with Episode III around the corner, I wanted to give it a try. I’m only 10 hours in Episode 1, so with 80 hours of gameplay per episode, I’ve got quite a way to go. Still, this game aged very well, with its cinematic cutscenes showing many games even today how it should be done. First game with mechs I actually like ^^
Grim Fandango (pc)
I’m trying to get my hands on all LucasArts classic graphical adventures, especially this one, since it’s rumored Tim Burton might make a movie out of it. Windows XP nor MacOS can play it decently though, with the game crashing ever x minutes. Must find another way :/ Voice acting rocks again, as we’ve come to expect of these series.
Psychonauts (ps2)
Progressing slowly. You notice the relation with the game above, but point & click is just more fun than jump and fight.
Dead Rising Demo (360)
Played this thing to… death. This 15 minute demo is just awesome, smashing zombies is gory bits never gets boring! Reminds me of the movie Braindead, but in HD ^^.
The Secret of Monkey Island (scummvm)
Yes I know, shame on me for missing out on this one. But I’m catching up! The entire series even, if I get my hands on them! Until now? Hilareous. I miss funny games :/

i thought troy was really REALLY afwul… what was good about it?
sin city was cool tho… nice surprise from budget/kids movie/garbage director rodriguez.
and yeah the lucasarts games… my favs: sam & max hit the road / secret of monkey island 2/day of the tentacle and… the dig!

I’m with Kurisu: Troy was absolutely horrible! And boring!
And yeah, I wish I could try out al those LucasArts classics too. So many funny games I missed when I was a kid (except for Day of the Tentacle and all of the Leisure Suit Larry games from Sierra)

and it’s all fake. 9/11 is a hoax! ;) . except the dead, those were real :/ still, the US has a nice way of making its citizens look like heroes, even with making movies of them, patriotism hooray! even if they kill their own people :/

Dude, don’t believe the hype!
Although the US did a lot of things wrong, and I hold them responsible for 9/11 (the were asking for it!), they didn’t do it themselves.
And United93 is not really a Hollywood type movie. No heroes, no American flags, no patriotism. Just people being people: confused, making mistakes, not knowing what to do… It’s actually the only 9/11 movie worth seeing.

yes, i’ve seen the footage (somebody sent me a dvd like over a year ago), and i was shocked. After that i did some research myself (you should do that ;)) and you can debunk like 90% of the ‘footage’ just by googling… but i’m not saying i believe the official investigation (there’s a lot of bullshit too, and a lot of things are left out)
and umm, you know, Roswell… it’s al bullshit. something crashed allright, but i’m pretty sure it was a weather balloon ;)

seeing it again! even on Canvas (doubt they’d do that if it was utter crap) . watching it a second time makes me even more of a believer. so many things that ain’t right. so many things…

Are you crazy? Every time I read something about videogames in a newspaper I get angry about how misinformed some journalists are.
But the problem with those ‘conspiracy documentaries’ is that they really only show things to prove their point and ignore the things that don’t. I’m not saying it’s all bullshit (there are in fact some weird things going on), I’m just waiting for some ‘real’ evidence.

‘Screw Loose Change’ debunks every single piece of ‘evidence’ from that first movie, just by checking sources and correcting mistakes the makers of Loose Change made.

btw, I do believe that the Bush administration misused 9-11 for going to war in Iraq and for a whole bunch of other things, but I refuse to believe in the big conspiracy that said 9-11 was set up by them. Or you should show me some real evidence.

Make sure you don’t allow pings and moderate every comment with at least one link. That does the trick for me. Oh, and blacklist your whole ‘medicijnkastje’ ;)
I still get some spam now and then, but only on older posts that were marked to allow pings. I don’t really feel like adjusting 2000+ posts, so I change it after I got spammed on that particular post.
