Fair prices

Apple is expensive, no doubt about that. Their mac Mini and iPod shuffle are a step in the good direction, making it accessible to more people. Still, us Europeans pay even more, since Apple likes to use the same numbers in other currencies. 99 dollars becomes 99 euro for the iPod shuffle, 79 dollar equals 79 euro when it comes to iLife ‘05. Seeing how low the dollar is lately, that’s a hell of a lot more we’re paying than our US neighbours.

To play it fair, the iPod shuffle should set me back 75 euro, but instead I end up paying 24 euro more (which is 31 dollars thank you very much!). Not that we can do anything about it I guess, except maybe just sign this petition.. fingers crossed.

Nintendo & sony do the same thing with their consoles. I don’t think there’s anything you can do about it. You don’t HAVE to buy these products and if you do, import them.

And if you’re lucky it gets stopped at the border and you pay double the price :s

I don’t see why we should pay more than Americans or Japanese, it’s not like we are richer right? ;) right? :D

that’s true. but next year the dollar may be worth more than the euro (i mean, when Bush is no longer president, so in 4 years or so). who knows? Anyway, even at 75 euro it’s still overpriced ;)
